There’s something powerful about coming together as a community especially when it’s for a cause that truly matters. On April 26th from 8:30–11:00 AM, we’re inviting runners, walkers, families, and animal lovers alike to join us for the Race for a Reason 5K, a morning dedicated to movement, compassion, and impact.
This event is more than just a race. It’s an opportunity to turn your miles into meaningful change for animals across East Tennessee.
The Humane Society of Tennessee Valley works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home animals in need while providing vital resources to pet owners throughout our community. Every registration for the Race for a Reason 5K directly supports their mission, helping provide shelter, medical care, vaccinations, nourishment, and ultimately, loving homes for pets who deserve a second chance.
When you show up on race day, you’re not just crossing a finish line, you’re helping an animal move one step closer to finding a forever family.
What to Expect on Race Day
From 8:30–11:00 AM, participants can look forward to:
- A welcoming 5K course
- Race t-shirts for registered participants
- Finisher medals waiting at the finish line
- A high-energy, family-friendly atmosphere
- Community partners and local vendors joining in the fun
Whether you’re an experienced runner chasing a personal best or walking alongside friends and family, this event is designed to be inclusive, encouraging, and impactful.
